Following on from their
intuitive layouts, second year students spent last week exploring a number of alternative grid structures in editorial layout. Part of the project was aimed at revisiting editorial and typographic conventions as well as the mechanics of InDesign; but the real trick was not to let the
perceived constraints of working with grids from adversely affecting the impact of the spreads.
