On Yer Bike!

The students returned on Monday morning to find a corner of their studio looking a little like a bicycle repair workshop.

This elaborate still-life (for that is indeed what it is) was the brainchild of Programme Leader, Captain Simon Davies (33) pictured above. The illustration students have been producing experimental drawings and paintings from this velocipede tableau all week and this body of work will form the starting point for a short illustration brief.

Bikes, as you know, are the fifth hardest things to draw after:

1. the human body
2. hands
3. a human body with hands
4. spaghetti

and so prove a very worthy challenge for our group of plucky illustrators.
